Members of the National Community Development Association (NCDA), are passing on this information to those of you who may be affected by future funding for affordable housing through the HOME Program and would like to voice your concern about this issue.
The HOME Coalition has prepared a letter to Congressional leaders seeking an increase in the budget caps as well as support of $1.06 billion for the HOME program in FY16. As you are aware, the Senate Transportation-HUD Subcommittee and Senate Appropriations Committee both approved a funding level of only $66 million for the HOME program in FY16, an unsustainable option.
Please sign-on to the attached letter and encourage your HOME sub-recipients to sign as well. The deadline is July 24. To sign-on to the letter, please go to http://salsa3.salsalabs.com/o/50954/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=17145
