New York One Step Closer to Statewide Housing Plan

As previously reported in Capitol Express, this year’s New York State budget included $2 billion in funding to support a five-year statewide housing plan to create 100,000 affordable homes. However, the funding was contingent on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Last week, in a move that could push negotiations along, Governor Andrew Cuomo sent a signed copy of the MOU to the Assembly and the Senate. Read more about the MOU. #OCAH #HousingMatters
