Sign-On Letters Call for Support of Key Housing Programs

Enterprise is co-sponsoring a national sign-on letter, in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and Habitat for Humanity, to support level funding for HUD’s Section 4 Capacity Building program. Section 4 strengthens low-income rural and urban communities nationwide by providing flexible support to local nonprofit organizations that develop affordable housing, finance small businesses and revitalize commercial corridors. Sign on to the national letter in support of funding for Section 4 by the January 31st deadline.

Enterprise is also joining other affordable housing and community development organizations that work on housing, community development, homelessness and transportation in signing onto a letter urging Congress to lift the austere caps on federal spending and to ensure that housing and transportation programs receive the highest possible allocation of discretionary funds for Fiscal Year 18 (FY 18). Federal funding for HUD and the Department of Transportation provides essential capital and program support that enables public and private partners to help families afford stable and safe housing, promote lasting economic success, build critical transportation infrastructure and spur economic development in communities. Sign on to the letter by the March 3rd deadline.
