ULI Oklahoma Lunch: Land Use Policy and Urban Food Enterprise | Monday, June 12

Our great friend Dr. Bryce Lowery is speaking at an upcoming ULI event:

Over the past few years, exposure to the importance of healthy eating options has gained significant attention, both nationally and locally. What is often lost in the conversation is how decisions regarding land use affect options for healthy, and locally sourced products. Land use policies that encourage urban food system development and opportunities for urban food enterprise could be an opportunity to alleviate issues surrounding lack of access to healthy foods.

Please join ULI Oklahoma as we welcome Dr. Bryce Lowery, Assistant Professor in OU’s Regional and City Planning Division, and Bud Scott, Attorney and Project Developer for the Oklahoma City Farmer’s Market District, as they discuss this issue through various case studies and research, and apply it to a local context for Oklahoma’s communities.
