HUD has released FY 2017 allocations for its Office of Community Planning and Development formula grant programs. Allocations to states and local communities include $3 billion for the Community Development Block Grant program, $958 million for the HOME Investment Partnerships program, $320 million for Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, $270 million for Emergency Solutions Grants and $219 million for the Housing Trust Fund. The allocations are late this year because of the delayed passage of the FY 2017 omnibus appropriations bill. HUD cannot finalize the allocations until full-year spending amounts are set.
