|To ensure Oklahoma licensing requirements are appropriate, the Governor established an Occupational Licensing Task Force in December 2016. The task force is holding a public meeting at the Capitol on August 23 to gather input and discuss how occupational licensing affects military families, low-income individuals and our criminal justice system.
"The Task Force members have been meeting diligently to examine how Oklahoma can achieve a balance between maintaining free market principles, protecting public safety, and reducing barriers to escape poverty," said Labor Commissioner Melissa Houston. Task force recommendations will be released in December 2018. To speak at the meeting or learn more, contact taskforce before August 21.
