As you may know, the Oklahoma State Legislature convened a special session on Monday, September 25, 2017. The Oklahoma Affordable Housing Act is already under fire.
Senator Daniels from the Bartlesville area has filed SB46x which would require all recipients of the Oklahoma affordable housing tax credit to be Placed In Service by July 1, 2018. None of the developments that were allocated credits in 2017 will be able to comply with this restriction. The Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency has awarded this years $4M in state affordable housing tax credits to 8 developments across the state that will add another 500+ units of affordable housing for seniors and families. The OHFA Board of Trustees has already approved the 2018 QAP with applications due early January 2018.
