New Report: Bridging the Racial Generation Gap Is Key to America’s Economic Future

On September 6, National Equity Atlas released new analysis examining how the “racial generation gap” between a growing senior population that is predominantly White and a rapidly diversifying youth population affects spending on public education in counties and states. They find that every percentage-point increase in the racial generation gap is associated with a decrease in state and local per-child education spending of around 1.5 percent.
