The Senate voted to confirm Randal Quarles as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Quarles is the first appointee to the position of vice chairman of supervision, a role created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, making him the Federal Reserve’s top banking regulator.
