President Trump Signs Continuing Resolution, Funds Affordable Housing and Community Development Programs Through December 7

The President has signed into law a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through December 7, averting a government shutdown. The CR was attached to a minibus spending package that included fiscal year (FY) 2019 funding for the Department of Defense, Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services. Earlier last month the President signed a FY 2019 minibus including funding for military construction and the Departments of Energy and Veterans Affairs. Appropriations bills for Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD), the Department of the Interior and the Department of Agriculture have yet to be enacted and so will be funded at FY 2018 levels through December 7, providing lawmakers more time to agree on spending levels. Enterprise urges Congress to enact full funding for affordable housing and community development programs.
