How Racial Segregation between Districts Relates to School Spending

School district boundaries determine local funding sources for schools and can play a role in embedding racial and ethnic disparities in school funding. These authors explore how resource disparities and differences in spending priorities relate to school spending as levels of between-district residential segregation change. The study finds some school spending categories are associated with race and ethnicity.
