As you have heard in the news, the tenants of Vista Shadow Mountain are being forced out of their homes through no fault of their own. There are about 50 households urgently seeking new rental properties due to the unsafe conditions at Vista Shadow Mountain.
Housing Solutions’ Landlord Tenant Resource Center is helping tenants connect with resources and is seeking the help of landlords in identifying available rental properties.
Tenants are mostly seeking 2-3 bedroom rental properties in the Tulsa Public School district. But there is a need for all type of rental properties to assist the displaced tenants of Vista Shadow Mountain. The rents that tenants have been paying ranges from $625-$1465. Several of the tenants have Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers and THA has agreed to expedite the inspection process to assist with the emergency relocation for tenants with vouchers.

This crisis has been devastating for the many tenants who have been living in unsafe conditions and are now facing homelessness. We hope the City of Tulsa’s community of landlords and property managers will be able to help these tenants find new, safe homes in Tulsa.
