The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) are hosting a two-part webinar series to leverage partnerships with local Community Financial Development Institutions (CDFIs). The webinars will take place September 28th and October 14th from 1-2:30 pm CT.

CDFIs’ access and leverage funds from the US Treasury Department’s CDFI Fund to provide responsible, affordable lending to low-wealth communities. CDFIs makes these loans accessible to organizations to support community development projects, ranging from small businesses to affordable housing and more.

Who should attend: CRA Officers, compliance officers, bank loan officers, credit officers, and community organizations that serve low income people.

Community Organizations will learn:

  • How CDFI partnerships can enhance your program
  • The benefits of becoming a CDFI as a non-profit

Banks will learn:

  • How to leverage partnerships with CDFIs to serve low wealth communities
  • How/Why bank partnerships with CDFIs receive CRA credit.
  • Current CDFI partnership opportunities.
