OHFA LIHTC Felony Rule

Effective immediately, OHFA LIHTC staff will no longer monitor the felony rule concerning LIHTC households. House Bill 2399 was passed April 23, 2019 allowing Landlords/Owners the authority to decide whether or not to rent to someone based on their criminal background. OHFA will no longer place criminal restrictions on LIHTC sites.

OHFA will be updating the Chapter 36 Rules, QAP, LIHTC Compliance Manual, and all Compliance Forms that require the felony question be asked.
